I see now that you answered your own questions and stuck with the E71 – Great Choice! As long as you have good AT&T coverage, the r810 can’t touch the E71. The Nokia 6790 is another option for people who really want a touchscreen. It does the same things as the e71 pretty much, except it doesn’t have wifi. I like to use wifi for faster surfing/email checking at home, and also occasionally to create wifi hotspots off my cell signal using the Joiku app from the Ovi store.

The Nokia 6790 and E71 are both GSM phones, which means they have AT&T and T-mobile coverage. The Samsung R810 is a CDMA phone, which means it uses Verizon’s (much more reliable) network. Thus, it is just a question of whether or not you’re willing to pay more up-front to get better service in the long run. Also the Nokia phones have additional features, like turn-by-turn navigation, but the accuracy is debatable, and without coverage, a moot point.

I have the Nokia e71 Business phone and I am very pleased however it doesn’t have a facebook app without having to go online.. Everything is 3G and I love that! I use Opera Mobile 10 for all my browsing needs and it also didn’t come with a threaded sms, however I did download Threaded SMS Pro from the OVI mall, and I love it!! But I have been considering upgrading to the Samsung Finesse r810 and I need to know the following if someone would be great to let me know:

1. Does the Finesse have threaded SMS? (Like the iphone sms)

2. Does the Finesse have a facebook app that doesn’t require going online?

3. What are some of the features the Finesse offers?

4. Is there an app on the Finesse to download more apps?

5. And is the Finesse worth the almost 400 dollars that my service company is asking for it??

Have you heard about the new Nokia phones? I think they are both better than the Finesse, and both $100 cheaper. Here’s some more info:
