I have a theory on why this phone is no longer available…
I’ve had this phone for 16 months, and have tracked it’s dissappearance.
The phone brower works great because it’s a full HTML browser. It’s also the only ST phone that worked with “EVDO” which is high speed data transfer(similar to 3G). No other straight talk phone has these 2 features (even today’s high end ST phones which by the way force you to buy the $45 plan). Also take note that straight talk doesn’t allow any of it’s phones to have any access to data streaming (i.e. youtube videos or music, flash etc…) Tie these facts in with the $30-45 fee, and my theory is this: Straight talk doesn’t want anyone to use full fledged web browsing because millions of customers with full html browsers, streaming data for $30 would chew up tons of data which they lease/purchase.

I wanted this phone and couldn’t get it. My friend suggested the E71 and boy oh boy I am so happy and content with it that I no longer have a yearning for the finesse – Straighttalk have other phones that you can choose from but I was advised to take the E71 and as I have said don’t regret it at all!

The E71 looks like an amazing phone! Have only heard good things. So nice more and more great phone are becoming available on Straight Talk pre paid. All the other befefits are great – $45 for unlimited texts, minutes and data. Great reception etc. The phone choices were just a bit limited but now that’s getting better all the time….

Have you looked into the E71? I think it is a far better phone, though it will use a different network (the E71 uses AT&T’s network, while the Finesse is on Verizon’s).

i also want this phone sooo badly. apparently it is awesome. can’t find it with straight talk anywhere and i absolutely refuse to change plans because my straight talk unlimited deal really is the shizzle. i save up to $50 a month and the coverage is amazing. gott find this fone on straight talk, otherwise will have to take 2nd best coz i’m not changing plans just for the phone..

I really want this phone. But its so expensive on the striaght talk website, And I looked on eBay and they have the phone, But I dont think its able to work on the straight talk. Anywhere else I can find it? Im looking for one anywhere up to 130$

i really want one of these! I hear the finesse has some pretty cool features. I have a buddy that already has this phone and he goes on and on about it. I really think this phone might be my next purchase!

I recommend that maybe you upgrade to a newer model. I got my Nokia 6790 in the mail a few days ago and it works great so far. Love the smartphone features and the mobile web speed, still only 45 bucks a month which is of course the main reason to use Straight Talk.

It doesn’t look like Straight Talk will ever sell this model again, so eBay is your only choice. However, I’d suggest you take a look at one of the new nokia phones:
